Labor accused of prioritising citizenship ceremonies for votes in key political areas
Sky News host Jamiee Rogers calls for Labor to “release the full figures” to clear up the accusations of prioritising citizenship ceremonies in politically important areas.
“When thousands of potential new voters are being processed in politically important areas, the government should expect questions,” Ms Rogers said.
“The Albanese Government says this is simply about clearing a backlog; if so, it should release the full figures.
“Tell Australians where the ceremonies are being increased; explain how the locations were chosen.
“Transparency would help remove any suspicion that politics is influencing the process.
“This looks like votes are being put ahead of people.”
