‘Destruction of the Australian dream’: Tax changes slammed as assault on aspiration

Shadow Assistant Minister for Citizenship Dave Sharma warns the government’s tax agenda will make it harder for young Australians to build wealth and own a home.

“It’s a complete assault on aspiration; it’s a destruction of the Australian dream. I can’t overstate how harmful this is,” Mr Sharma told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“Workers, now young people, will just have to rely on wage and salary income, I mean that’s a gross injustice.

“This is just making things harder for young people.”
