Australia’s first treaty with Aboriginal people signed in Victoria
Australia has seen its first ever treaty with Aboriginal people signed and formalised as law. It follows nearly a decade of consultation and negotiation between the Victorian government and Indigenous leaders. The treaty has been applauded internationally by the United Nation.
