Australia signs multi-million dollar deal to resettle hundreds of former detainees

The Albanese government will pay Nauru over $408 million to resettle hundreds of people from indefinite immigration detention.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said that the Australian government will also provide nearly $70 million each year for the resettlement costs of over 350 individuals.
