Rest of world ‘moving ahead’ on nuclear power while Australia focuses on renewables

Nuclear for Australia Founder William Shackel discusses how the world is increasing its adoption of nuclear power in its energy mixes, while Australia, under Anthony Albanese, is failing to realise its potential.

“It’s concerning our energy minister doesn’t realise that that cooling tower is not actually a nuclear reactor,” Mr Shackel told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“When you look around the world, the UK and the US are committed to quadrupling nuclear power, India is planning to increase their nuclear capacity tenfold by 2047.

“The rest of the world is moving ahead on this … it’s time that the Labor Party realise that.”
