⚠️ We TOOK OUR CARAVAN Down Australia’s MOST FEARED DESERT TRACK…

Leaving Alice Springs behind, we take on one of Australia’s most notorious and unforgiving remote tracks: The Tanami.

Stretching over 1,000 kilometres between Central Australia and the Kimberley, the Tanami Track has a legendary reputation for shaking bolts loose, tearing tyres to shreds, and pushing touring setups to their absolute limit.

In Part 1 of this two-part series, we drop our tyre pressures, hit the endless washboard corrugations, and head deep into the red dirt heart of the Northern Territory with our off-road caravan in tow.

Along the way, we pass through the remote Warlpiri country of Yuendumu, navigate the high-stakes traffic of 53-metre mining road trains servicing some of the country’s deepest underground gold operations, and settle in for two incredible nights under a blanket of outback stars at some of the most peaceful, remote bush camps we’ve ever experienced.

We haven’t crossed into Western Australia just yet—the corrugations are relentless, the dust is thick, and the desert has already thrown plenty our way.

Grab a cuppa, strap in, and join us for the first leg of this wild desert crossing!
